Repairs
Steamboat has been Houston’s number one tube amp repair shop since 2009. We have an immense amount of experience repairing vintage amplifiers from Marshall to Fender, Traynor to Vox and every obscurity in between.
We also offer full service guitar repair including setups, re-frets, electronics repair, and more!
All repairs will typically take 2-3 weeks depending on the project complexity and your position in the repair queue.
Don’t wait, just bring it in! We do not take or require appointments for any of our repair services.
Our public hours for accepting repairs are Tuesday–Friday 11am–6pm and Saturday 12pm–4pm.
We do not sell individual parts or components such as tubes, capacitors, resistors, fuses, etc.
Additionally we are not available for any over-the-phone or on-site diagnosis or troubleshooting; we can only help with your project in person at our shop location.

Tube Amplifiers
$75 / hour
+ cost of replacement parts
We ONLY repair tube amplifiers (incl. amps with solid state components; majority of amplifier MUST be vacuum tube circuitry)
We inspect all of the unit’s hardware (nuts, bolts, washers, etc.) and clean all pots, jacks, switches, and sockets with high-quality de-oxidizing cleaners as part of our standard service and bench fee.
Full Service
Guitar Repair
$100 / setup
+ cost of strings
$325 / refret
Setup includes string change, intonation, action adjustment, clean, and inspection.
Bring your own strings

Pedals
$75 / hour
+ cost of replacement parts
Many pedals cost more to fix than replace. Please keep this in mind when inquiring about pedal repair or modification.
Absolutely NO digital pedals.
We will no longer be doing any pedalboard configurations, repairs, or builds.
